Lyla in the Loop

1 Nomination for the 2024 Webby Awards

This show taught me how to quickly get up to speed on unfamiliar subjects.

Some episodes feature characters with disabilities, and I wanted be make sure to portray their movements accurately and respectfully.

I complied some clips from various disabled influencers and shared them with the team. I also took extra time to research an get feedback on my pose passes.

This also helped further improve my communication, as I worked with other animators to tackle more complex sequences.

I had a lot of fun on this show thanks to the variety in its cast.

2D Animation- Social Media Specific

Me, the family pet?

In early 2026, I had the pleasure of adapting some of Jennifer Sleeper's comic strips into short form videos for social media, each between 20 and 40 seconds long.

During production, I taught myself MOHO, partially to optimize my budget and partially because I was intrigued by its features for solo freelancers.

I quickly realized that with a 2 week turnaround, which included time for the voice actors to dub the boards I produced, I had to be exceptionally discerning about allocating time and resources.

The solution was finding and exploiting as many time saving tricks I could find in the pipeline.

Any redundant dialogue or unnecessary location changes in the comic strip? pitch a new version in the boards that is shorter and more efficient

Waiting on dub and editing to come back?

Paint the backgrounds and clean up key poses in the mean time, tweak and reuse old drawings when possible

MOHO had slowed me down at the start of production due its unfamiliarity, but it quickly proved to be a worthwhile investment after I mastered its vector points animation system.

Each episode had an average engagement of half a million views on TikTok and three hundred thousand views on Instagram, with a peak of  2 million views across both platforms
